All Dressed Up Challenge 64

Merry & Bright

This month I decided to stay on the Christmas cards theme. As this is anything goes I often find it harder to pick an image but this cutie was calling out to be coloured. Went with my copics and left it clean and simple. The image and Scalloped edge is cut out with a die from Mama Elephant then adhered to a white card base. Not sure if I like the blue colour now. Next time will try a different colour.

Di's Didgis Celebrate Challenge

Celebrate the season

I Chose this Snowman and Penguin image as it made me happy just looking at it. Hard to image celebrating in the snow though as we are having a very hot summer down here in Canberra Australia. I used my favourite copics to colour with and kept it clean and simple, just adding a grey border before adhering it to a white card base. They look like they are having a great time celebrating.

I fell in love with this JJ Christmas Box image and had to buy it. I have a dear friend that this is so her and it will be her Christmas card for 2017, also it was the perfect image for this make me laugh challenge. I kept the card clean and simple and it really makes her stand out. I used my copics to colour the image and the tag and greeting are from Penny Black Christmas sets. I adhered the finished image to a red card piece from my stash then onto a white card base.

AAA Cards Cas Challenge

All is calm, all is bright

My first card for this challenge and I hope it is cas enough. I still want to add just abit more but better than I used to be. The challenge is Silver and as I hadn't put all my Christmas stamps away this was what I came up with. The trees are from Stampin up Evergreen and the sentiment from other set of theirs called Wonderland. I Stamped the solid tree with tumbled glass distress ink, spritz with water and stamped three times. Used versamark for the overlay stamp then silver embossed them and fussy cut them out. Cut snow banks and also embossed the edges with silver embossing powder and added some tumbled glass for a bit of colour. The deer, from a MFT die is also silver embossed. Arranged the elements on a white card piece that I dry embossed with a snow pattern by sizzix, then onto a piece of blue glitter paper and a card base. I silver embossed the sentiment and around the edge of the card base to keep it all uniform.

Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Have you been good.

This is such a cute image this month, well every month they are cute but this one is sooo cute. I kept it simple with a round window showing a snowy scene and with the temp here in the 30'sc I wish I could have really had snow outside. Cut a frame for the window and coloured the sky with faded jeans and chipped sapphire distress inks and added two snowbanks. Used a white gel pen for the snowflakes. Santa was coloured with copics and adhered with mounting tape for dimension.

The Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge

Merry Christmas From Down Under

This is the a different snowman card as the weather here is hot, hot, hot. It just didn't seem right to make a card with snow when I was sitting in my room with the cooler on a steady 20c and outside it's 32c. We have had a run of hot days and with Christmas I just haven't had the time to post my card. I made a Sandman chilling on the beach and like the way it came together. The background is a Digi from Make it Crafty that I reversed and added a computer generated sentiment to. The sky is coloured with tumbled glass and salty ocean distress inks and the rest with copics. I fussy cut the sandman after I coloured him with copics and layered him on the background with
mounting tape. This was then adhered to a brown mat and then unto a kraft card. Added some glossy accents to the buttons and carrot.

Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Merry Aussie Christmas

This month it's all about Christmas and as we have hot sunny weather down here in Australia I went with an outback Aussie look. Gum trees, blue skies and red earth is the backdrop for this Christmas pup. The gum tree and fence are from Make it Crafty Outback scene set and the puppy this months freebie from Gerda Steiner Designs that I made into this scene. The gum leaves are from Stamp-it that I coloured and then fussy cut. The image was coloured with copics and then mounted onto a brown mat. I adhered a sheet of designer paper from kaiser 61/2 inch Base Coat paper pad to the card base then the image on top. Have left it to the last minute as usual but still have time to upload.
