Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Image
Love at Christmas Decided to make a Christmas card with this adorable image and love the way it turned out. I nearly didn't make it as I decided to have a break and spend time with friends and family this month. Time just seemed to fly and then Christmas and now nearly New Year. Also had to fit in my 70th birthday on the 16th Dec and our 49th wedding anniversary on the 27th Dec. It's been hectic.  The card is cas as the image and sentiment says it all. The hat is one of Gerda's and is perfect for this cute bunny. The sentiment is mine and says what Christmas is all about for me. I used copics to colour and printed the sentiment on the computer. Nice and easy. Copics:  Bunny: E01,31,35,37. Hat: R27,37,89,N1,GB000. Heart: R05,08,12. Ground: N1,3.

Merry Christmas Decided to have a break from my blog and concentrate on family & friends leading up to Christmas. Had most of my cards done and pressie organised so had plenty of time to catch up for lunches and dinners with people I don't see very often. Spent time going to the movies with my hubby and returned daughter and loved getting together with old work mates and just having fun. I was so busy I nearly forgot to make my card this month but here it is. One Christmas card done for 2018. I kept it clean and simple by printing two baubles onto a card base and another onto a scrap piece of card. I coloured them all with copics and fussy cut the extra one out. I adhered it with mounting tape to the base then onto green card, then a grey card base. Added silver strips to baubles, Wink of Stella and some distress Evergreen Bough ink around edge and all done. Copics: Baubles: N1,3,5. Blue ribbon: B000,02,12,16. Teal ribbon: BG11,13,15. Green ribbon: G000,

Moonlight Harvest Cutting it close again but finally finished this afternoon. This was fun to colour but time consuming and happy it turned out so well. The image was coloured with copics, hightlighted the fence, cat, tree & pumpkins with a touch of white gel pen and adhered it to a narrow light brown piece of card then unto a dark blue card base. No sentiment as I didn't want to clutter it. May add one later.  Copics: Moon: YR00,30,Y20,E40. Sky: BV29,B21,32,34,37,39, White Pencil. Cat: N1,3,5,7. Pumpkins: YR12,16,18,68,YG93,95,97. Tree & Leaves: E31,35,57,R05,12,YG12,21. Fence: E15,18

Actsa Artist Trading Card Monthly Swap

Image
Cheers This is a sad post for me this month as this will be the last ATC for the monthly swap at Actsa (Act Stamp Association). The numbers have been dropping so it was decided to add it to the show and Tell group but there will be no swapping. For me the fun was getting a 1-4-1 swap and seeing the take others had on the topic each month. I guess I will have to find another swap. This ATC came together fast and gave me a chance to use an old favourite from Stamping Bella called Addy Tude loves her 'tins but it's no longer available.  I coloured the image & background with copics and stamped the sentiment from the set on a separate piece of card, cut them out and used mounting tape to adhere them for dimension. Added glossy accents to the spectacles Copics:  Skin: E50,51,55. Dress & Hat: RV06,09,R83. Spectacles: W1. Stole: C1. Flowers: B23,YR07. Martinis glasses:R000. Background: B0000. Ground: E17,31,57. Stool: W3.

Sending Warm Fuzzies Running slow late so short post today. This is my entry to this months challenge at Gerda Steiner's. Have a Friends birthday this month and she love critters so this months cutie was perfect. As usual I used copics to colour the image and made a clean and simple card. To give it a bit of dimension I cut a circle panel and mounted it over the image. The sentiment is from an old Hero Arts set called Everyday Sayings and I stamped it twice around the circle. The happy birthday and heart is one I have had forever I don't know what company it came from. Copics:  Raccoon: W00,3,5,7,9,N3,5,7. Stump: E11,13,15,18. Birthday Sign: E41,42,43. Grass: YG23,67,G29. Sky: BG000,0000,Co & colourless blender.

Konnichiwa This month the topic for the monthly swap was foreign languages so it could be art, foreign scripts, culture etc. I decided to use this lovely digi from Little Blue Button Stamps  and coloured her with copics to match the background I printed. It was a freebie from a magazine and has some lovely themes. I printed it twice so I could cut out extra cherry blossoms for dimension. The sentiment and the image were also adhered using mounting tape. Copics: Skin: E0000,000,R20,01. Hair: W5,7,9. Kimono: R81,85,RV11,91,93. Parasol: RV000,R00,01. Flowers/Leaves: RV000,32,YG05,09.

Lazy Sunday Love this image this month from Grateful Heart Digis and I just had to make an Aussie scene with it. I printed the gum trees from Make it Crafty  first then drew in the ground and coloured them with oxide distress inks to make the background. I then printed the store, extra dog on xpress it card, coloured them with copics and fussy cut them out. Used flat tape to adhere the store and mounting tape for the dog. The birds are from a set called Spread Cheer from Penny Black. The dog is from an old Sparkle and Sprinkle set called Scratchy. Copics:  Store:  Walls: E41,43,44. Veranda/roof/posts: E70,71,74. Doors/windows: B32,34,99,BG0000. Books: YR31,YG61,R05. Signs: R46,C0. Barrel: E13,17. Pumpkin: YR04,07,YG67. Dogs: E31,33,35,79,C0,5,9.

Faeryink Halloween ATC Swap.

Image
Halloween Faeryink are having a Halloween ATC swap and I decided to have a play. I like ATCs and it makes me think out of the box and is a change from card making. My monthly stamp group does one and have done a few others. This one was easy as I only had to do three and they could all be different. I downloaded a few great images from Faeryink and used the Raven Nevermore and Witchball on two of them and a witch image from DeliciousDoodles . Sorry this post is so long but I like to list the colours I use and it is usually only for one project. On the raven ATC I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours to colour all the images. The house and bats are from SU 's Halloween Scares stamp set and the gravestones from a Make it Crafty  digi image. I fussy cut the raven and two of the gravestones to fit and used a circle dye for the moon. Added some Wink of Stella clear to the moon for some sparkle and glossy accents on the house windows. Watercolours: Windows 33,40. Stairs 4

Tap Dancer I had so much fun with this ATC this month. The topic was dance etc and I have not used this adorable stamp from Make it crafty and it is available here . To make the saying, fit I first had to stamp it and then reduce it and print it out on a piece of x-press it paper. As an ATC is only 31/2 x 2/12 I didn't have a lot of room to stamp Fred so I stamped him on an other piece of xpress it paper, coloured him with copics and fussy cut it out. Coloured the background with distress oxide inks, added a strip of PP from kaiser's Hello Today 61/2 X 61/2 pad for the floor and hand drew some lines to resemble floor boards . Needed something for Fred to tap on and like the way it turned out. Adhered him to the ATC then onto a grey base. This was probably not the easiest way to make this but so happy with the end result. Copics:  Suit: N3,5,7,9. Shirt: C0,1. Tie: Y04,YR16. Shoes: E25,27,C9. Sock: C9. Skin: E51,53,55. Belt: YR24,C9.

I didn't lick the Spoon The cutie this month is called Sweet Tooth Mous e and there is still a few days left to enter. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw it was he is going to lick the spoon so that is my title. I made the background with Oxide Distress Inks salty ocean, wilted violet and twisted citron. Having so much fun playing with them and trying different colour combinations and I love they mix so well. The mouse is coloured with copics and then fussy cut out. Printed the sentiment, adhered it to a strip of coloured card stock and added it to the card base, 512/ x 5/12 with dimensional tape. The mouse was also adhered with dimensional tape. A few sequins finishes of the card. Copics: Mouse: E40,41,42,44.R30. Bowl: B32,34,37,YR61,68. Spoon: E02,13,15,

Celebrate My daughter has moved back home to Canberra so I am surprised I have my card finished early. It's been a busy month but so nice to have her close again. This month the image is this an a adorable cat image from Anne Fenton.  Anne's Digital Art.  It was a joy to colour and I had to make it a birthday card for my cat loving friend. Coloured it with my copics then cut it out with a plain spellbinder circle die. Thought it needed more so cut a scalloped die for some contrast, also from spellbinders.  Used a PP from Kaiser pad Something Blue to the black card base then adhered the cat.The celebrate and words are from Avery Elle and are matching dies and stamps called sentimental . I used the celebrate die, white embossed the words then placed them around the image.   Copics: Cat: N1,3,5,7,G21. Pot: E04,08,09. Flowers: R21,43,RV25,YR07. Leaves Pale: YG00,09,G24. Leaves Dark: G05,29. Ground: E31,33,35, Copic Multiliner Sepia 0.3 Background: BG0000,00

The Journey Have been so busy with my daughters move back to Canberra that I just haven't had time to post on the blog. I did get some cards and my ATC done. Here is the ATC. Last month the topic for the monthly ATC was Geography so the theme was wide open. Maps and compasses, travel theme, landscapes images so there was plenty to choose from. I choose a Darkroom door world map background stamp  and used the Australian portion for the background that I coloured using distress inks. Stamped the sentiment from the Tim Holtz discontinued Journey set and the postal stamp (unknown) directly onto the background. Stamped the aeroplane (Urban Crafter) and suitcases (Tiddly inks) on scrap card, coloured with Zig markers and fussy cut them out and mounted them with dimensional tape.     The finished ATC

Swimming by to say Hi Hopefully next month I will not be rushing but I say that most months so who knows. Managed to get another monthly challenge done and this one was so much fun. I love zentangles and I hope Jean  doesn't mind that I added some more tangles to the image. Coloured it with my Zig markers, mounted it to a piece of blue card then unto a pale blue card base. The sentiment was computer generated.

Calories don't Count I cant believe it's been a month since I last posted on my blog. Life just seems to get in the way of crafting at the moment but I really don't mind as my youngest is moving back to the ACT after being away for 10 years. It's not like we didn't see her as it was only 4 hrs away but now it will be 30 mts. Spent most of the month helping her sell the house and packing etc. so this my first card this month and just in time for the challenge. Kept it simple and used one of my favourite sentiments (wish it was true) for a quick card. Coloured the image with my Zig markers, mounted it on an old off-cut of blue Colour-core Card stock then onto an off white card base.

Strawberry Mouse I never get tired of colouring these fabulous images from Gerda Steiner Designs and this one is so cute. I wanted the image to shine so I cut it out with a zig zag stitched die from MFT, mounted it to white card then adhered it to red PP from Rosie's Studio basics pad then added   some green ribbon to contrast the paper. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. Copics: Mouse: W00.0.1.3.5.R20. Strawberries: Y17,R02,08,59,YG17,G29.  Shadows: E70,B0000.

Paws-itively Fabulous Have not been doing to much craft lately but have managed to do my monthly challenges. This card is for the progressive outlaws challenge and this month the image is from Anne Fenton and I had fun colouring this adorable dog. I coloured it with copics and used a MFT pierced oval die to cut it out  then used mounting tape to adhere it onto PP from the Kaiser 61/2 in pad called Hello Today. This was then adhered to blue card, twine added and then onto a cream card base. The sentiment is an old digi one but I don't know who from.  Copics: Dog: E0000,000,11,13,18,27 & Sepia Copic Multiliner. Ball: N1,3. Sky: BG0000,000. Grass: E70, YG05, 25, 63& Sepia Copic Multiliner.

You Got This This months freebie is this very elegant image called My Fair Lady by Sheepski Designs and I wanted to keep it clean and simple. I decided to go with a basic colour scheme, white dress with just two contrasting colours and am happy with the way it turned out. The sentiment is from the set The New Pretty by The Ton. Added two strips of black CS then two strips of red PP from Kaiser 6 1/2 in pad called Looking Glass before adhering to a black card base. A touch of clear Wink of Stella on the red to finish off.  Copics:  Skin: E0000,000,01,R46. Dress: N1,3,5,R24,46. Hat: N5,7,9,R24,37,46. Shadow: C0.

Special Friends This months freebie is this adorable pair and a joy to colour. Have a friend that is going through a rough patch at the moment and thought she would appreciate it. I was going to use my copics when we met for a friendly craft get together but I forgot to pack them so a friend let me try her new Chameleon pencils and I am impressed with them. They blended really well and I didn't use a blending medium. They will be on my list when my prismas finally die. I die cut friends on the card front then again on a scrap piece of white cardstock and layered then up. Cut the panel to 4 3/4 ins and added two strips of blue to each side then adhered it to a 5in card base. A nice and simple, nearly one layer card.

Born To Be Wild Birthday Card

Image
Born to Be Wild A friend asked if I could make a card for a special friend for her 50th birthday and if it could have a motorbike theme and this is the result. The stamp is from Whimsy stamps and is part of their KennyK Collection but is no longer available. KennyK has their own on-line store but you need to be quick as they are closing at the end of this month. I coloured the image with copics, then layered it onto PP from a Kaiser 61/2 x 61/2 pad called Attitude. Before adhering it to a grey card base I wrapped twine around with an attached bike charm, then added some gears and cogs. The sentiment is a digi from Just Ink Lined . Copics: Skin: E50,51,53,R20. Lips: R22. Hair: E07,08,09,11,18. Eyes: BG000. Tank Top: C1,3. Hat,Top & Pants: B93,95,97,99. Belt: $44,C3. Boots: C1,5,7. Bike: R59,89,RV69,C0,1,3,5,7,9. Ground: W1,3,5. Shadow: W0,1.

Girl With Flowers It's been a month since I last posted as my poor old computer decided to throw a tantrum and I am going to have to buy a new one. My daughters partner managed to calm the beast but as it's 12 years old says it's time to upgrade. I actually enjoyed not having it after the first week as I read, crocheted and got over the withdrawal symptoms. Just in time now to add my challenge card. I broke out my Zig clean colour markers and had a play. Forgot to write down the one's I used but had fun and will try them again. Cut the image out with a My Favourite things rectangle die but mounted the frame for dimension over a scrap piece of PP. This was then adhered to a white card base. Added glossy accents to the flowers and headband then some black dots to her dress.

Friends Nearly forgot to post this months card challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs. The freebie was this cute Pen Pal Bear and since I didn't get the last one in on time making sure this one makes it. I have no one to blame but myself as I leave everything to the last minute. I used copics to colour the bear and then stamped the sentiments from an old Hero Arts set called Thanks for being my Friend onto a scrap piece of white paper in black and red ink. It is no longer available which is a shame as it a lovely set and is a favourite of mine. I punched the top with a SU punch then adhered it to the card base over the PP scraps.  The bear was mounted in the corner with dimensional tape and I added some hearts that I die cut from a really old cuttlebug die. I think it was one of the first I bought when I got my cuttlebug but I can't part with them. Just being sentimental I think as it doesn't get much use. Added some glossy accents to the hearts and the bears nose to finish

Happy Birthday Humans I had so much fun playing with my distress oxide inks making galaxy backgrounds for my ATC this month I had to use some to make a card for the card challenge as well. I used the same stampsets from Gerda Steiner designs and I really love the way this birthday card turned out. Coloured the cute little aliens in bright colours with my copics after I masked the centre one then fussy cut them out.  I needed something to ground them so drew the planet freehand, coloured it and adhered it to the bottom of the galaxy panel.  Attached the birthday banner to the green alien with cord and then attached them both with mounting tape to the panel. This was then fixed to a black card base. The  sentiment and banner are also from the alien invasion set. Copics: Green Alien: YG05,07,09. Pink Alien: RV02,04,06,V000,06,12. Orange Alien: Y00,YR15,18. Planet: E000,01,40,41 and brown multi liner.

Hello World  Space ATC  It's that time again and I am early with this months Atc. Normally I am finishing it off on Saturday morning for the afternoon meeting. The topic this month was space and I enjoyed making the galaxy background with distress and oxide inks. Have seen so many on the web etc, but never got around to trying one. The little spaceman and the earth are from Gerda Steiner designs blast off and alien invasion  stamps sets, coloured with copics and cut out. The sentiment was computer generated. adhered using mounting tape as was the spaceman. The earth I just used flat tape to adhere so it looks like it is in the background.    Copics: Skin: E000,01,R20. Hair: E53,55,57. Spacesuit: C0,1,3,5,7,BG02,R35. Earth; BG01,05,G14,17.

Spread Your Wings. This month the Image is designed by Mary Smith for Createful Heart Digis and on the Progressive  Freebie team. It is a lovely image and great to colour. I did have to Google hummingbirds as I had no idea what colours they where and there are a lot. I printed two, coloured one with my copics and just the bird on the second image. Used a Spellbinders circle die to cut it out and then placed a die from Kaiser called circle vines over the top and trimmed it to fit. I made sure the bud and the bird tail were not cut cut so they could hang over the die to give it some dimension. Added the second bird with mounting tape after I fussy cut it out, fixed to a purple card base and a nice clean and simple card to add to my stash. Copics:  Flowers: V04,BV11,13,17,YR68. Leaves & Stems: G12,14,24,28,29. Bird: E11,13,44,47,G24,YG41,N9. Shadow: N1,C0.

I won. I know it's a random draw but still very excited to be a winner on All Dressed up Challenge 66 .This is the second time as I was one of the top three for Challenge 65  and I think I am still pinching myself. I just love making cards and by entering challenges it pushes me to think out side the box. I guess we all get stuck in a rut occasionally so having to make something different is fun. I have used one of the digis I won called Autumn Girl as we are enjoying some lovely Autumn weather down here in Australia after a very hot summer. First I coloured a panel with Oxide distress inks in Autumn tones, used some of it to stamped some leaves from the SU Gently Falling set and cut them out. The rest I used to adhere the printed image too. She was coloured with copics then cut out using a stitched die from Simon Says stamps and this was then matted to a green piece of card for some contrast and on to a pale grey card base. Copics: Skin: E11,20,50,51.Lips: R14. Eyes: G1

Playing with Distress Oxide Inks

Image
Oxide Backgrounds Take a Walk on the Wild side. Have been playing around with the new Oxide inks from Tim Holtz and I thought I should make some cards with some of the backgrounds I made. I am really happy with the way they blend and you can keep on adding more and more colour and they don't turn to mud. Fantastic. On the first card the background was just blended on, sprayed some water and then stamped the cheetah from Darkroom Door Wild Africa Vol 2 set . The sentiment is from the Wild Africa Vol 1 set. This next background was done by pressing different coloured ink pads onto my non stick mat, adding water with a spray bottle and pushing the card into it and moving it slightly. Dried with my heat gun, added different colours to the mat, sprayed with water and smooshed again. You can do it again and again until you are happy with it. Flicked some water for a some for more texture. The elephant is from the Wild Africa Vol 3 set. Added some dots to the ground from an

Sew Cute I cant believe it's nearly the end of month; this year is just flying bye way too fast for me. That means it's time for my stamp group meeting and I have left my ATC to the last minute as usual.  This month the topic for the ATC swap is texiles so any thing like sewing, ribbons lace dressmaking. etc. I dug out an old MFT stamp set called Sew Niffty and one from Technique Tuesday called Borderline Notions. First I stamped the dressmakers dummy from MFT sew niffty on a piece of card 4 x 3 ins then two more times, one on PP and the other on scrap paper for a mask. I coloured the card with four new Tim Holtz Oxide distress inks from Ranger. Placed the mask and stamped the sewing notions from Technique Tuesday till I was happy with it. Cut just the top from PP, glued it down, then made a pleated skirt from a scrap of light purple PP. I wrapped some ribbon around the top and adhered it to the dressmakers dummy. I used copics to give it some shading and added Ranger bl

Colouring with my Prisma Pencils

Image
Shine Haven't played with my pencils for awhile and as I have been trying to use more of what I have decided to use them on this scene. In hind sight I should have gone with something a little less complicated. I like doing scenes but usually not with prismas and I think I need to get them out more often as they are so different to other mediums. I masked the dancing girl stamp from Stampin' ups  Beautiful You so it looks like she is dancing in the street scene from Mediterranean Moments. The sentiment is from the High Tide set, also by Stampin' up but I masked off part of it and used my Misti to stamp just the parts I wanted.

Playing with New Oxide Distress Ink

Image
The Lighthouse Have been having a break the last few weeks but had to try out the new oxide distress inks that I received last week. They are fun to use and different to the ordinary distress inks especially on backgrounds. I have quite a collection made so will have to make some more cards. This is my first card using them. It is a ocean scene using the High Tide set from SU. I stamped the lighthouse twice, one on the card and the other for a mask. Punched a circle for the sun, Masked of the lighthouse, water and sun just played with the inks. When I was happy with the sky I tore some paper and did the coastline though it also looks like low clouds. Removed the water mask stamped the rocks, stamped over them with versamark ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Leaving the lighthouse mask in place sponged the water and added the waves, birds.and light. The sun looked too white so added some pale yellow ink and all it heeded was a sentiment. I couldn't fi

Di's Digi Designs Challenge

Happy Birthday My second post today and thought I would enter this card as well into Di's Digi Design challenge as it does have two dies on it. I have been playing with watercolouring the last couple of weeks and have never tried to colour a no line image so decided it was about time. I used this daffodil dance stamp from Penny Black and stamped it with Antique Linen. Next I just picked some distress inks, smudged them onto a piece of acetate, sprayed them with clean water and started painting. Used a No. 2 and 6 round brush for most of it and a really fine No. 0 for some highlights. Think I will have to try this again. The square die is by Docraft from their ornate frame nesting die set and the tag is called Maviensis from the Hearts Ease Collection by Couture Creations. Added some bakers twine, happy birthday from Darkroom Doors birthday set and used some PP from Basicgrey's Picadilly 6 x 6 collection. I normally list my colour choices but cleaned up and forgot t

Di's Digi Designs Challenge

Image
You Are Very Special The latest challenge this fortnight on Di's Digi Designs blog is to use die cuts and/or punches and I must say I don't use mine often enough. There was a time where I used them on nearly every card so it was fun to revisit some old favourites. Have used four on my card all from Spellbinders. Two from the curved borders two set, one from the small circle set and matched it with one from their petite scalloped circle set. I cut the curved borders, adhered them to a piece of Picadilly PP from Basic Grey that was then adhered to a blue card base. After colouring my image with copics I cut it out and matted it with the scalloped blue circle. White embossed the sentiment in my misti so I could curve it to match. It is from an old heroarts set called Live and Laugh that I use often. Copics:   Rabbit: C0,1,3,N9,R12. Colorless blender 0. Flowers: Y04,13,17,38. Leraves: G12,14,28. Paper and Bow: V01,05,06. Ground: E40,70. Background: BG0000.

Cherish the simple Pleasures Pulled out an old stamp set from G ina K called Spring has Sprung and picked this cute duck sailing away to colour. We are heading for cooler weather while you are into spring so it seemed the perfect image  to use. I am still having fun with watercolour but used my new Zig clean colour brush markers. They are different to work with but used a hot pressed watercolour paper that is smoother and I seem to be getting the hang of it. I guess it just needs more practise.  The image is cut with a spellbinders circle die and the waves are a stencil from Simon says stamps. I made the sentiment in Photoshop as I wanted it to follow the curve of the waves then hand cut it out in a banner shape. I am entering it in the challenge below.

AAA Cards Cas Challenge

Image
Have a Fabulous Birthday I have been messing around with watercolours so this challenge fits right in. The stamp is from Penny black  called Divine and was such fun to colour. I heat embossed the image with white embossing powder and then just played with different colours. Used a paint set I bought from my local Hot Dollar store ages ago and though they are not the greatest I had fun. Watercolouring is fun as you do not want it to be perfect and I love the patterns the paint creates. Different every time. The sentiment is from Stampin' ups Thoughtful Banners set. It is great for making up your own sayings as the words are all separate. I white embossed it on black card to give the card some contrast. I am entering the card into the Cas Game #84 Watercolour challenge. I am also adding it to Uniko Studio Happy 5th Birthday party Link.

Crazy4Challenges - C4C374

Image
Thanks Decided the next card I made I would not use copics so dragged out my watercolours. Found a small  set that I bought at a cheap dollar store that I had never used and gave them a whirl. It was great for backgrounds but not for detailed images but I couldn't waste them so here is the card I made with one of the backgrounds.  The challenge at crazy for challenges this week is to use your words and this is my take on it. We have had a long hot summer and this backgound sums it up. I stamped the wheat background stamp from Heroarts with versamark on the coloured panel and white heat embossed it. I die cut the word thanks three times from black and white card and layered them up. Cut the thanks out of the panel, adhered the panel to a black card matt and then glued in the thanks, slightly off setting it to give it a shadow.  Added 3 butterflies, used a Martha Stewart, and then adhered it to pale green card base. I look at the card and it screams, long hot summer.

A Cuddle makes it Better. The girl and her dog is such a cute image and I know a dear friend will appreciate it as she has been feeling down after losing her beloved pet. Kept the card simple by making the image the centre piece with no other embellishments. Coloured it with copics, adhered it to a simple blue cardstock matt then onto a white card base and all done.  Copics: Skin: E0000,00,01,11,55,R20. Hair: E08,11,19. Dress: G0000,00,02. Dog; N1,3. Bow: B32,41,45. Ground: E41,42,,43. Shadow: W0.

Addicted to Stamps Challenge 142

1920's Chic The challenge at Addicted to stamps this fortnight is to use a number and this is my entry. This very chic lady is from a Darkroom door set titled 1920's Chic and I die cut the numbers with an old cuttle bug set and made them a focal point. Coloured the image with copics, fussy cut it out and adhered her over another stamp from the same set. I stamped the words twice with memento London Fog ink as I wanted them to be in the background.  Copics: Skin: E50,51,53,R20. Dress: R17,22,29,C9. Belt: N1,7,100.

Your next stamp Challenge #58

Image
Friends The latest challenge over on Your Next Stamp blog is a sketch or colour challenge. I decided to combine them both as I like the chosen colours. When I remodeled my craft room I found a container with a pile of printed and stamped images that I cant even remember doing. This rose was one I picked out to colour and thought it would be great in the challenge colours. I have no idea the artists name or company where it came from, so if anyone knows I would be grateful if the can let me know so I can give them credit.   I used my new Zig brush markers and think I need to play alot more with them but am happy with my fist try. The patterned papers are bits left over from my scrapbooking days ( I don't throw anything away) and they match perfectly. The sentiment is from Polkadoodles  that I rearranged to fit. These are the colours and sketch for the challenge.

Di's Digi Designs Challenge

Just for You. The challenge this week at Di's digi challenge blog is to include an animal and I just love this cute mouse with the adoring look.  I went for copics to colour him and kept the card uncluttered to show him off. Went with a pink cardstock for the image backing and the same colour for the card base. The PP is and old piece from Kaiser and I added pink ribbon and bow to give it some dimension.  Copics: Mouse: E01,W0,1,3,5. Flowers: B0000,000,00,01. Leanes and Stems: YG17,21,23. Ground: E51,55. Shadow: W00,0. Added some glossy accents to the flower centres and clear wink of stella to the bow.
