Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Love U

I'm always running late with the monthly challenge at Gerda Steiner Designs so I am going to try
this year to do it a bit earlier. It's not a New Years resolutions as I never seem to sick to them but at least I have managed February's as I started badly in January. These are such cute bunnies but I wanted to add more flowers so printed three images so I could fussy cut some extras to make it like a bouquet. They were coloured with copics, cut out with a Mama Elephant stitched die, the added to some orange card. I adhered a strip of grey gingham, Rosie's studio paper pad, to the black card base then attached the image and the simple sentiment. They are from an old Hot of the Press set of words that has to be 15 years old but they are great for creating your own sentiments.

For Your Special Day

This must be a record for me, the first week of the monthly challenge and I  have finished my card. I had never seen a wild rose so I googled it and this was the most common colours I found. The image from Beccy's was a joy to colour and I layered the three of the flowers for dimension, scored around the card then attached it to a pink card base. Thought that was it but something seemed to be missing so I added a couple of strips of black glitter paper and they really made it pop. The sentiment is from a set from Create a Smile called Just Because that was embossed with white on black card.

Outlawz Weekly Colour Challenge

If Friends were Flowers

This week it's a tic tac toe with a twist and I found this old paper pad from Rosie's Studio with the perfect paper. The flowers are an old image from Fred She Said and it was coloured with copics. Kept it fairly clean as I wanted the tulips to stand out. The sentiment was computer generated and adhered with dimensional tape as was the tulips.

Tulips: RV14,23,29,69,YG06,09,G28,46.
Shadow: C0,1,5.

The Outlawz Progressive Monthly Challenge

Sending Hugs

It's taking me a while to get back into my craft room after Christmas and I am late as usual with this months challenges. Today I decided to do a distress ink background and surprise I actually like it so it spurned me on to colour up the lovely image for the Outlawz monthly challenge. The image is from Di's Digis and it was fun to colour. I stamped a tree from the Darkroom door  set Gum trees using a dauber to ponce the ink onto the stamp then a fine brush to paint the trunk to finish the background. Fussy cut the image and adhered it to the card after stamping the sentiment from a Create a Smile set - Just Because then added some glossy accents to the cupcake and ribbon. I did use my prisma pencils for some shading as the bunny looked like it was floating.

Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Love

I am soo in love with this adorable panda so the title  just had to be called love. I have lots of love dies but for some reason I rarely use them but this one with the heart just seemed to fit and was the perfect sentiment for this image. I printed two panda images, coloured one with copics and just a few hearts from the second so I could fussy cut some for layering. I wanted the image to stand out so just backed it onto a red spotted PP from Rosie's Studio Basics 6 x 6 in paper pack and then onto a black card base. I added some glossy accents to the layered hearts, die cut the love three times in black then red for contrast and dimension and then glued them together, this was adhered to the card and I love the way it all came together.

Copics:

Panda:  C0, 3, 5, 9.
Hearts: R08, 12, 14, 17, 24, 27, 37.
Shadow: B0000, 000.
Ground: E41, 42, N1.

Gerda Steiner Designs Monthly Challenge

Love at Christmas

Decided to make a Christmas card with this adorable image and love the way it turned out. I nearly didn't make it as I decided to have a break and spend time with friends and family this month. Time just seemed to fly and then Christmas and now nearly New Year. Also had to fit in my 70th birthday on the 16th Dec and our 49th wedding anniversary on the 27th Dec. It's been hectic.
The card is cas as the image and sentiment says it all. The hat is one of Gerda's and is perfect for this cute bunny. The sentiment is mine and says what Christmas is all about for me. I used copics to colour and printed the sentiment on the computer. Nice and easy.

Copics:
Bunny: E01,31,35,37.
Hat: R27,37,89,N1,GB000.
Heart: R05,08,12.

Merry Christmas

Decided to have a break from my blog and concentrate on family & friends leading up to Christmas. Had most of my cards done and pressie organised so had plenty of time to catch up for lunches and dinners with people I don't see very often. Spent time going to the movies with my hubby and returned daughter and loved getting together with old work mates and just having fun. I was so busy I nearly forgot to make my card this month but here it is. One Christmas card done for 2018.

I kept it clean and simple by printing two baubles onto a card base and another onto a scrap piece of card. I coloured them all with copics and fussy cut the extra one out. I adhered it with mounting tape to the base then onto green card, then a grey card base. Added silver strips to baubles, Wink of Stella and some distress Evergreen Bough ink around edge and all done.

Copics:
Baubles: N1,3,5.
Blue ribbon: B000,02,12,16.
Teal ribbon: BG11,13,15.
Green ribbon: G000,03,09.
Shadow: BG0000.
